Sponsorship Guide

With a background of disadvantaged, poor or slum communities, acquiring a good formal education is very essential for all children, but even more so for our children who have so many more challenges to overcome. As an organization engaged in soccer skills development we strongly believe that knowledge empowers these children to break the cycle of ignorance and poverty, helps them find their interests, discover their potential and voices and gain self-confidence.

We invite you to change a child’s life by sponsoring them through Msingi Sponsorship program.

 

MSINGI EDUCATIONAL SPONSORSHIP

 

Msingi Education Sponsorship facilitates our scholarship program that aims at an education that gives our Athletes a chance to be successful in a difficult world. Our scholarship is planned to run for the entire time the Athlete is with the Academy.

The annual fees per student/pupil is $1000, caters for tuition fees, food, uniforms and scholastic materials (e.g books, pens etc.)

Monthly Sponsorship is $35

We recognize that $35 per month is an insignificant amount of money for a full year however you are welcome to make a monthly or annual donation of any amount that recognizes both your needs and your desire to support a child.

Costs Included in the Sponsorship fee

When sending a child to school in Uganda, there are expenses in addition to tuition. Your sponsorship will cover School uniforms and dress shoes, scholastic materials, meals, medical registration fee. A small amount of your sponsorship is used for administrative costs for taking care of academy staff like Guards, coaches or mentors.

Length of Sponsorship

Sponsorship lasts as long as a sponsor is willing and able to sponsor a child. For Individual sponsorship, we ask that you sponsor a child for at least a full year of schooling. Or, if possible, sponsor a child until they finish primary or secondary schooling. The longer the sponsorship, the better it is for the child. Knowing that they are supported ensures that they are able to stay in school and helps them work with Msingi to plan their future. It also gives the sponsor and the sponsored child more time to get to know each other and build a meaningful relationship.

Group Sponsorship

Msingi Soccer Academy encourages group sponsorships. Soccer clubs, friends and family, and schools may join together to sponsor a team of boys or girls

 

MSINGI GENERAL SPONSORSHIP

 

This category of sponsorship goes to aid the day to day running of the academy outside the Educational bit. It does cover a number of elements which include

    • Administrative costs
    • Ancillary expenses

What do you get with your sponsorship?

As a sponsor, you are able to exchange letters and cards to keep in touch. You might even have a chance to visit your sponsored child. This allows you to build a lasting friendship offer support to your sponsored child and learn all about their sponsorship journey and about Msingi work. Providing you with confidence that your money is achieving life-changing differences to the children in our program

How To Choose a Child for Sponsorship

All of our children are worthy of an education, and it is not always easy to choose a child to sponsor. Consider what is important to you. Some sponsors would like to choose our most vulnerable children-one who has suffered exploitation, abuse, or orphaned. If you prefer Msingi is happy to recommend a child for sponsorship. Msingi will supply a potential sponsor with biographical details about the child.
